Feel at home and away at Mas del Rey

Mas del Rey is located on the sun-drenched Costa del Azahar, the Mediterranean coastline between Barcelona and Valencia. Our B&B is situated in the countryside, just eight kilometers from both Benicarló and Vinaròs—surrounded by fragrant orange groves yet surprisingly close to the sea.

What can you expect from us? A relaxed, informal atmosphere, just like you'd expect from a B&B, combined with plenty of privacy. Each room is uniquely decorated, equipped with a private bathroom and terrace. We also have one apartment with its own kitchen, ideal for those looking for that little bit of extra freedom.

At Mas del Rey, you'll enjoy not only a generous breakfast buffet and a lovely swimming pool with a sun terrace, but also cozy evenings full of flavor and ambiance. Two to three times a week, we organize a dinner, barbecue, or paella evening for our guests. Everything is homemade, fresh, and made with local ingredients—a perfect opportunity to enjoy time together and meet new people.

Prefer to dine out? Nearby, you'll find excellent restaurants showcasing Mediterranean cuisine at its finest.

Boutique B&B between Barcelona and Valencia

We are Alijda and Bastien de Jong, and we warmly welcome you to our B&B. Our goal is simple: to provide you with a wonderful, relaxing stay, with that little bit of extra attention. A welcome drink will always be waiting for you upon arrival.

Alijda worked for years as a childcare professional and holistic family therapist, while Bastien gained his experience in financial services. Yet, we both shared a common dream for a long time: to create a place where hospitality, tranquility, and a sense of belonging converge. In 2025, that dream became a reality.

We fell in love with beautiful Spain – and especially with the verdant Costa del Azahar, with its fragrant orange and olive groves and stunning coastline. Here you can still experience the real, authentic Spain, beloved by the Spanish themselves as a holiday destination.

During our first visit to Mas del Rey, we knew immediately: this is the place. An oasis of tranquility where you can forget the world around you for a while. We've been the proud owners since December 2025, and we're grateful to Marieke and Gerard for building this special B&B with so much love.

Our B&B is perfect for anyone looking to enjoy a few days away, but also for larger groups: families, groups of friends (no young people), or coaches looking for an inspiring retreat location. We're happy to help you plan and do everything we can to make your stay unforgettable.
